On January 29, 2010, students in grades 2 through 5 who met their Accelerated Reader goals for the semester were treated to a Pizza / Bingo party. Students were very excited to be part of such a large group. Mrs. Alga was the caller for BINGO. Cool prizes were given out to Bingo winners and everyone received a treat for participating in the Bingo game. Students were encouraged to keep reading the winter away and return this spring with lots of Accelerated Reader points!!!

1st Nine Weeks AR Celebration

Smokey the Bear Visits LaCrosse Elementary

During Fire Prevention Week our students and staff were treated to a visit by our local volunteer firefighters and Smokey the Bear. They gave the students information on preventing fires and what to do in case of a fire. The children were able to see and touch the fire trucks. The firefighters demonstrated how they put on their equipment . The students were all smiles seeing Smokey.
